We Teach

A master craftsman will be invited to speak about the particular sets of skills and how they apply to daily life and employment. Children will learn how to recognize and use particular tools safely.

We Train

Students will be assigned projects in which they will apply what they have learned. Safety and proper technique will be demonstrated to ensure that participants feel confident in tackling similar projects on their own.

We Mentor

An essential part of what we do is mentoring. As we begin a project, we have discussions about things like responsibility, hard work, and respect.

Our Founders

Do Well, Incorporated is a nonprofit educational organization founded 2020 by business owners John and Lindsey Robinson.

Raised in “contractor households” they both came to realize later that the knowledge and skills gained in their on-the-job upbringing prepared them for a successful and fulfilling path in life.

Like so many others, they recognized that there is a longstanding stigmatization regarding vocational work as a career opportunity with strong earning power, resulting in fewer and fewer young people developing these skills and entering the trades.

Beginning with their own teens at home, in youth groups, and expanding into the community through the founding of Do Well, Inc, John and Lindsey and the Do Well Team have a passion and a mission to provide education, hands-on training, and mentorship to the next generations regarding the many rewards of hands-on work, and the many opportunities that a vocational career can offer.

Our Purpose

Providing trade-specific knowledge

Providing hands-on and how-to training

Providing opportunity to serve our community in real time

Providing lasting partnerships with local businesses and organizations

What We Believe

In the satisfaction of hard work

In the investment in the future of our youth

In the importance of generation-to-generation connection

In doing well
